The King County Sheriff’s Office says a high-ranking deputy who fired his Taser at a nude woman in Pioneer Square on May 15 was using a justifiable amount of force. Sheriff’s Major Bryan Howard remains on duty while the case is investigated by the agency’s internal affairs division. Once completed by internal affairs, the case will be sent to the Office of Law Enforcement Oversight for review. Sheriff’s Sgt. Ryan Abbott tells KOMO Howard was “completely within policy” when he fired his Taser.
